Strata Global’s product –StrataDrain™– has been recognised at the recently held Civil Engineering & Construction (CE&CR) Awards, in Mumbai. This distinction was conferred to the product in recognition of StrataDrain™’s superior product performance and innovation for civil engineering and geotechnical projects. 

 

Held on 4th Aug, 2024, the awards are in their third year of existence. The CE&CR Awards are hosted by the Civil Engineering & Construction Review; a 38 year old publication in India, focused on the news and updates of the civil engineering, construction and infrastructure industry. The awards were instituted to recognise products that are made by the construction professionals of India and further India’s position as a global technology innovator. 

 

StrataDrain™ was awarded “Path-breaking Construction Materials & Technologies” Award as the sole winner in a list of 15 awards presented by the organizing committee. A jury comprising industry business leaders from the infrastructure and construction space, academicians, and industry veterans chose the winners of the awards.

 

The product is a cutting-edge geocomposite drainage solution designed to handle water management challenges in geotechnical engineering. Using a combination of geonet and geotextile, it delivers superior performance for drainage needs, reliability through its unique fabrication, and is a sustainable solution. 

 

StrataDrain™ complies with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) guidelines, i.e. it meets the highest standards for national infrastructure projects. StrataDrain™ is also ISO and CE certified together, reflecting its ability to adhere to global quality and safety standards. The product undergoes testing at a GAI-LAP and NABL accredited lab, to guarantee top-notch performance and durability. 

 

StrataDrain™ features the innovative StrataNet design, available in 2 and 3 strands. Designed for high flow capacity and low creep characteristics, it’s ideally used in applications requiring robust drainage solutions. With thickness options ranging from 4 to 7 mm and polypropylene (PP) lamination from 100 to 1000 gsm, StrataDrain™ is also customisable for each project. Manufactured from the highest quality virgin polypropylene (PP) material, StrataDrain™ promises exceptional durability and performance. Its remarkable lifespan of up to 100 years means fewer replacements and less maintenance, reducing overall costs and environmental impact. StrataDrain™ combines a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drainage core with non-woven geotextile fabrics, ensuring excellent water flow and filtration.
